Job Description:

Gifford is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to join our Pharmacy department. The Pharmacy Technician will manage the distribution of medications to both on-campus and off-site clinics, monitor pharmacy inventory to minimize waste, and ensure timely and accurate delivery of medications to nursing units. The Pharmacy Technician will oversee the purchasing and maintenance of supplies for sterile compounding areas, ensuring compliance with cleaning protocols and maintaining a sterile environment. This position is also, responsible for the daily cleaning of our compounding aseptic isolator and compounding aseptic containment isolator as well as the monthly deep clean of the equipment and the three spaces designated for sterile compounding (positive pressure room, negative pressure room, and buffer room). This position also handles medication recalls, tracks shortages, and liaises with various stakeholders to secure hard-to-obtain medications. Additionally, key responsibilities include admixture of IV and chemotherapy medications, refilling automated dispensing machines, and verifying incoming medications against electronic records for accuracy. Requirements:

* Experience in hospital pharmacy preferred
