Job Title: Pharmacy Technician
Department: Pharmacy
Status: Full Time, Day Shift
Schedule: 6:30am-5:00pm, 40 hours per week
Summary/Objective
The pharmacy technician is responsible for supporting the pharmacist in pharmacy operations while providing quality pharmaceutical care to patients and IMH team members. The ideal candidate must possess an active Pharmacy Technician license.
Essential Functions

* Answers phones and greets pharmacy visitors.
* Enters prescription through GuardianRx.
* Checkouts customer purchases through Cashier Live.
* Prepares IV admixtures.
* Transports and restocks floor stock.
* Restocks Omnicell medication cabinets.
* Verifies and unpacks daily and weekly wholesaler deliveries.
* Reviews and corrects daily pharmacy charges.
* Enters Resident Home (RH) patient orders through GuardianRx.
* Prepares RH orders in blister packaging.
* Packages bulk medication into unit doses.
Education/Experience Requirements
* High school student - minimum age of 16 years; high school diploma or GED.
* State of Illinois Registered Pharmacy Technician license required.

Iroquois Memorial Hospital is a 25 bed hospital located in Watseka, Illinois. The hospital facility is comprised of clinical and diagnostic services which are dedicated to providing high quality health care services to the community.
