Pharmacy Technicians assist pharmacists in preparing and distributing medications, maintaining the medication inventory, and maintaining patient records. They assist the pharmacist by filling prescriptions for medications including oral, rectal, topical and injectable formulations. Pharmacy Technicians prepare non-sterile products as well as chemotherapy products and other hazardous medications using strict adherence to proper technique and established standards. Pharmacy Technicians also play an integral role in the Meds to Beds program, which is a vital function of the Outpatient pharmacy. Pharmacy Technicians function under the direct supervision of a pharmacist. Position is open to both Registered and Certified Pharmacy Technicians.

- High school diploma, GED or foreign school diploma equivalent to a U.S. high school diploma.
- Current Registration as a Certified Pharmacy Technician or Registered Pharmacy Technician in good standing in the State of Ohio
