This position is open to anyone with a background in the health field, customer service, pharmacy technician trainees, certified pharmacy technicians, or pharmacy technicians with an expired license. The role involves providing high-quality customer service and compassionate care to patients, processing live insurance claims, and assisting with copay assistance. The job offers a pay rate of $16.50/hr to $18.00/hr, with potential raises upon permanent hiring.

Responsibilities

+ Handle inbound and occasional outbound calls

+ Provide strong interpersonal and customer service skills

+ Communicate effectively and compassionately with patients

+ Process live insurance claims

+ Make outbound and inbound calls to insurance companies, clinics, doctor staff, patients, and caregivers

+ Assist with copay assistance

+ Investigate the status of patient orders and reschedule deliveries if necessary

+ Input new insurance information for the new year

+ Manage a high volume of calls, averaging 300 calls per day between all agents

Essential Skills

+ Pharmacy technician certification

+ Pharmacy technician license

+ Experience with prior authorization

+ Insurance knowledge

+ Call center experience

+ Customer service skills

+ Retail pharmacy experience

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Minimum of 1 year of experience as a pharmacy technician is preferred but not required

+ Ability to handle high call volume and maintain efficiency

+ Strong attention to detail and accuracy

+ Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Work Environment

The work environment is a large pharmacy stock floor. The shift for this position is 2nd shift, Monday - Friday from 2pm - 10:30pm, with rotating weekends (Saturday and Sunday) from 9am - 5pm. Employees will have 2 weekdays off when working on weekends. This role is ideal for someone who has recently obtained their license and wants to gain more experience in a non-retail setting.
