- Education: Requires a High School Diploma or its equivalent.
- One (1) year of clinical experience in a related field, preferred.
- Must be registered pharmacy technician with the state of Florida.
- You should be familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within this field.
About the job:
- Works centrally and de-centrally to perform all functions of a pharmacy technician including pre- packing medications, restocking automated machines, mixing IVs, and auditing records.
- Consults with pharmacists and other technicians to ensure the best patient care and patient safety.
- Prepacking of medications, refilling crash carts, filling first doses, and refilling automated dispensing machines with patient safety at the forefront and ensuring accuracy.
- Auditing of patient charts to ensure safety and accuracy of medication administration.
- Understand, follow and enforce regulations of USP 797, the joint commission and other hospital policies.
- Mixing IV medications utilizing proper technique and following all USP 797 regulations.
- Participates in the training of new technician students and technicians.
- You will be under the direct supervision of a registered Pharmacist.
