Qualifications:
Tennis teaching/coaching experience
Tennis knowledge and playing experience
Knowledge of athletic events/scheduling
Understanding of OSAA rules & regulations
Ability to communicate and work well with high school students
Ability to work with parents, Booster Club and fundraising events
Current First Aid and CPR certification
NFHS certified
Mini bus/van driving clearance and valid driver's license
Must complete a fingerprint-based Criminal History Background Check
Duties:
Teach and coach techniques and skills needed for the Tennis program
Recruit, evaluate and assign assistant coaches to appropriate program levels
Teach character development and leadership skills
Ensure athlete safety, including prevention of bullying, harassment, and hazing
Coordinate a practice schedule for the entire season
Assist Tennis teams in making decisions, planning events, and implementing plans
Coordinate upkeep for Tennis practice and game facilities
Attend all Tennis competitions in preparation for State competition
Organize appropriate awards for Sports Awards Night
Prepare and submit yearly budget and order necessary equipment
Complete necessary paperwork for inventory, budgeting, records, etc.
Coordinate a Tennis Camp, supervise and assist Team Camps
Supervise fund raising activities before and during the school year
Be a positive role model
Salary:
Based on experience, FTE and placement on the Licensed Co-Curricular salary schedule.
