Job SummaryThe Phlebotomist performs venipuncture and capillary blood collection following approved techniques and policies for hospital inpatients and clinic outpatients. The Phlebotomist also organizes specimen collection requests, performs patient clinical laboratory specimen collection procedures, specimen transport, specimen processing, testing dispersal, point-of-care testing procedures, and other pre-analytic functions following established standards and practices.
Work Schedule: - Rotate Days and Evenings - Must be able to work all four shifts
- 4:00 am - 12:30 pm
- 8:00 am - 4:00 pm
- 12:00 pm - 8:30 pm
- 2:00 pm - 10:30 pm
- Rotate every 3rd Weekend (Sat & Sun) and every 3rd Holiday
- Additional pay available for hours worked before 7am and after 7pm, and all weekend shifts
- Full time - 80 hours every 2 weeks
Education and/or Experience- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
- Six months to one year related experience and/or training is preferred.
Licensure/Certification/Registration- Certification as a Phlebotomist Technician (PBT) from the ASCP is preferred.
PayThe hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.
