- Mon-Fri 7 am/8 am to 4 pm/5 pm
- Every other Saturday 7 am-2 pm or 9 am-5 pm
- Open to availability for Sunday shifts (8 am-5 pm)
Job Description:As a Phlebotomist Floater, you'll be the face of our company, interacting with patients seeking routine health checks or critical health insights. Your primary responsibility is to draw quality blood samples, prepare specimens for lab testing, and ensure accurate and timely results.Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Interaction: Build rapport with patients, explain procedures clearly, and draw blood samples skillfully and safely.
- Multi-Site Coverage: Provide flexible coverage across various locations, including doctor's offices, patient service centers, and long-term care facilities.
- Team Leadership: Mentor new team members, provide guidance, and contribute to a positive work environment.
- Complex Cases: Handle specialized cases requiring advanced phlebotomy skills and excellent customer service.
- Process Excellence: Adhere to established procedures, maintain accurate records, and contribute to process improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Medical training (medical assistant or paramedic) preferred
- Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in CA, NV, WA)
- 5+ years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections
- 3+ years of experience in a PSC/IOP environment
- Strong customer service skills
- Keyboard/data entry proficiency
Additional Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience as a phlebotomist or in a laboratory setting
- Excellent customer service skills
- Willingness to travel to cover various sites as needed
