As a Phlebotomist, at Merit Health Madison, you'll play a vital role in doing what you do best-providing quality care to our patients! Our phlebotomists enjoy a robust benefits package including health insurance, dental, vision, 401K and flexible scheduling!The Phlebotomist is responsible for:*Draws and collects blood samples from patients, verifies records and prepares specimens for laboratory analysis.* May prick finger to draw blood.* May conduct interviews, take vital signs, and draw and test blood samples to screen donors at blood bank.* Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.* Works under immediate supervision.* Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.Education/License/ Certification:* Requires a high school diploma and/or GED.* Requires completion of a phlebotomy technician training or education program.* Requires employee to possess a CPT certification (Certified Phlebotomy Technician).* Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.Experience/Skills:* Minimum 1 year of experience preferred.* Ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.* Must possess a positive attitude and good time management skills.* Cerner charting experience is a plus.About The Job:* Full time night shift position (10:00pm - 6:30am)About Merit Health Madison:We know it's not just about finding a job.
