Phlebotomist Opportunity!

Job Description

Performs adult and pediatric phlebotomy, in addition to daily tasks including centrifuging, aliquoting, and stabilizing patient specimens for transport via courier to the main campus lab or via the pneumatic tube system. Accurately registers patients, verifies insurance, and verifies all patient demographics. Performs pre-analytical specimen receipt, processing, identification verification, and specimen storage. Operates centrifuge and pneumatic tube systems, office equipment, and enters information and test orders into the laboratory computer system. Helps minimize butterfly usage throughout the PSC's, maintains professional knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, and provides training to others. Performs phlebotomy on inpatient floors, supports the ED phlebotomy staff, and may be required to draw outpatients during off-hours. Manages work unit supply ordering and inventory.

Schedule varies: 06:00am - 2:30pm; 07:00am - 3:30pm; 11:00am - 7:30pm
