Job Title: PhlebotomistJob DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled and reliable Phlebotomist with over 2 years of recent phlebotomy experience. The ideal candidate must be proficient with straight needles and comfortable performing venipunctures independently from day one. Strong communication skillsand punctuality are essential. Bilingual proficiency in Russian is required. Full time positions with full benefits.Responsibilities* Performing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data, and decontaminating equipment.* Updating patient information and collecting and storing specimens according to established procedures.* Explaining the venipuncture process and other specimen collection procedures clearly and courteously.* Demonstrating techniques using straight needles and/or butterfly needles.* Matching laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes.* Labeling, centrifuging, splitting, and freezing specimens as required by test orders.* Checking all test requisitions or computer labels against scripts to ensure 100% accuracy.* Packaging specimens for transport and storing specimen samples according to required temperatures.* Placing samples in appropriate collection containers/tubes, accurately labeling them, and following specific procedures to maintain specimen integrity during transport.Essential Skills* Specimen collection* Phlebotomy* Proficiency with straight needles* Venipuncture* Blood draw* Minimum 1 year of experience performing venipunctures in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting* Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite* Bilingual in RussianAdditional Skills & Qualifications* Experience working in an outpatient setting* Strong communication skills* Reliable and punctualWork EnvironmentThe position is based in a busy Patient Service Center (PSC) in Brooklyn, handling 60-70 patients daily.
