Job Title: Phlebotomist FloatJob DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Phlebotomist Float with over 3 years of phlebotomy experience. The ideal candidate must be proficient with straight needles, reliable, punctual, and possess strong communication skills. Fluency in Russian is required.ResponsibilitiesPerform blood draws, label specimens, centrifuge specimens, record maintenance data, and decontaminate equipment.Update patient information accurately.Collect and store specimens according to established procedures.Clearly and courteously explain the venipuncture process and other specimen collection procedures as required.Demonstrate techniques using straight needles and/or butterfly needles.Match laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes.Label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required by test orders.Check all test requisitions or computer labels against scripts to ensure 100% accuracy.Package specimens for transport.Store specimen samples according to the required temperature, place samples in appropriate collection containers/tubes, accurately label, and follow different procedures as outlined by specific protocols to maintain the integrity of the specimens.Essential Skills3+ years of phlebotomy experience.Proficiency with straight needles.Reliable and punctual.Strong communication skills.Fluency in Russian.Additional Skills & QualificationsMinimum of 2 years of work experience performing venipunctures in a fast-paced lab or outpatient setting.Experience in specimen collection, patient care, venipuncture, and blood draws.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00• Medical, dental & vision • Critical Illness, Accident, and Hospital • 401(k) Retirement Plan – Pre-tax and Roth post-tax contributions available • Life Insurance (Voluntary Life & AD&D for the employee and dependents) • Short and long-term disability • Health Spending Account (HSA) • Transportation benefits • Employee Assistance Program • Time Off/Leave (PTO, Vacation or Sick Leave)Workplace TypeThis is a fully onsite position in Brooklyn,NY.Application DeadlineThis position will be accepting applications until Dec 20, 2024.About ActalentActalent is a global leader in engineering and sciences services and talent solutions.
