Job SummaryPerforms venipuncture and collects other specimens for laboratory testing. Label specimen containers accurately, deliver to proper destination in a timely manner and perform order entry duties as required. Must be able to provide and understand the specific communication, developmental and treatment needs of patients ranging in age from neonate-birth to geriatric. Compliance: understands and complies with the Standards of Behavior and department policies, procedures and regulations.Job RequirementsEducation* HS Diploma or equivalent* Completion of an accredited Phlebotomy Program.Experience* The skill to draw an average of 7 patients per hour within the first 90 days of employment.* Proficient in the use of Lab. Info. Sys. Within the first 90 days of employment.License/Registration/Certifications* Must be ASCP eligible
