Loyal Source Government Services is looking for a phlebotomist to work at the Orlando VA Medical Center in Lake Nona.
Job Summary:
Part time Phlebotomist, Weekend Shift: Saturday & Sunday 4am – 12:30 pm with 30 min lunch break. Possibly Mon – Fri if coverage is required to provide phlebotomy services to the beneficiaries of the Orlando VA and surrounding Community Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOCs).
Key Responsibilities:
Phlebotomists are required to draw blood from patients using venipuncture, skin puncture, or arterial puncture. They also prepare the samples for laboratory testing. Explain the blood-drawing procedure to patients, verify their identification, and put them at ease. Ensure that blood samples meet regulatory requirements and can be safely transfused. They maintain specimen integrity by following department procedures and using aseptic technique
Requirements:
· Will be required to work holidays on a rotational basis with other phlebotomists on staff.
· must be available to float between locations when needed. (Lake Baldwin, Lake Nona, Daytona Beach, Viera, Travares, Kissimmee, Deltona, Clermont)
Qualifications:
Benefits: Paid Leave, Paid Federal Holidays
Pay: 17.68/HR plus 4.57/HR H&W.
