Pay Range: $18.14 - $24.49 / hourAdditional components of compensation may include:

Abundant career growth opportunities to nurture professional development Strong shared governance structure Commitment to employee voicePOSITION SUMMARY: Performs phlebotomy, and selected skills including rooming patients and assisting with treatments and procedures.Follow TJC patient safety goal requirements to identify the patient accurately and appropriately. Works accurately and efficiently, utilizing the computer to obtain patient orders and collects specimens following proper protocol from all age groups (newborns to geriatric) with accuracy. Prepare patients for and performs, venous, capillary, swab collections, and EKGs. Provide post collection follow-up care instructions as needed. Perform specimen processing, create batches, and complete waived testing. Perform and document refrigerator temperatures and QC on waived testing instruments or kits. Record if corrective action is required when completing QC.EDUCATION/TRAINING: Successful completion of a phlebotomy course and or one year of phlebotomy experience. Must provide copy of high diploma or equivalent.LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION: CPR certification required. EXPERIENCE/SKILLS/ABILITIES: Successful completion of annual clinical, age and job specific competencies and skill verification tools required. Knowledge of medical terminology and a variety of laboratory techniques. Ability to establish effective working relationships and clearly communicate with patients, medical staff and the public. Computer experience required.
