As a Phlebotomist Patient Services Representative, you'll play a vital role in providing high-quality healthcare services to patients.Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Interaction: Greet and welcome patients, creating a positive and welcoming atmosphere.
- Phlebotomy: Draw blood samples accurately and efficiently, following established procedures for all age groups.
- Specimen Processing: Prepare blood specimens for laboratory testing.
- Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service, addressing patient questions and concerns.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed records.
- Verification: Verify patient demographic information and ensure proper labeling of blood samples.
- Teamwork: Collaborate with healthcare professionals and other team members to deliver quality care.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred
- Phlebotomy certification is required (especially in California, Nevada, and Washington)
- Minimum 3 years of phlebotomy experience (including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections)
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a Patient Service Center environment preferred
- Strong customer service skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends, holidays, and overtime
- Reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, and a clean driving record required
- Ability to travel to multiple locations and work in various settings
