As a Phlebotomist Patient Services Representative I, you'll play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient experiences. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Accurate and efficient blood specimen collection: Draw blood samples from patients of all ages, ensuring accuracy and safety.
- Patient interaction: Create a welcoming and reassuring atmosphere for patients, explaining procedures and addressing their concerns.
- Laboratory preparation: Prepare blood specimens for testing, following established protocols.
- Quality assurance: Maintain a high standard of quality control and adhere to laboratory regulations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Medical training (Medical Assistant or Paramedic) preferred
- Phlebotomy certification is required (in California, Nevada, and Washington)
- Minimum of 6 months experience
- One or more years of phlebotomy experience preferred
- Strong customer service skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime
