Job Title: Phlebotomist Patient Services RepresentativeContract Duration: 3+ MonthsPay range: $18 - 21/hrLocation: South Richmond Hill, NYWork Type: Onsite, Shift/ Time Zone: 1st Shift - Monday - Friday 7 am - 3 pm, E/O Saturday 7 am - 2 pmAbout the RoleAs a Patient Services Representative I (PSR I), you'll be the friendly face of our company, interacting with patients during routine health checks and life-changing health decisions.Your key responsibilities will include:
  • Phlebotomy: Drawing high-quality blood samples and preparing specimens for lab testing, adhering to strict protocols.
  • Patient Interaction: Building trust and confidence, explaining procedures clearly, and skillfully drawing blood samples in a safe and accurate manner.
  • Operational Excellence: Demonstrating leadership, prioritizing process excellence, and maintaining strict confidentiality and accuracy in patient information.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Execute daily tasks efficiently and accurately under the guidance of the area supervisor.
  • Foster a safe and professional work environment.
  • Confidently perform forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing, adhering to established protocols.
  • Maintain meticulous records and documentation.
  • Promote a positive company image through exceptional service to patients, clients, employees, and the public.
What You'll Need:
  • Skills:
    • Proven ability to deliver high-quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
    • Strong independent work ethic with minimal supervision.
    • Excellent phlebotomy skills, including proficiency with pediatric and geriatric patients.
    • Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime.
  • Education and Experience:
    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • Preferred: Medical assistant or paramedic training.
    • Preferred: Phlebotomy certification (mandatory in California, Nevada, and Washington).
    • Minimum 6 months of relevant experience.
    • Preferred: 1+ year of phlebotomy experience.
    • Preferred: Customer service experience in retail or service environments.
    • Essential: Keyboard and data entry skills.
