What You'll Do As the Phlebotomist, you will be responsible for performing venipuncture for plasmapheresis and providing world-class quality service to donors. You will also be cross trained across all functions of the Center's operations and shift priorities as needed. This role is critical to Parachute's donor-centric mission, and an opportunity to be a part of an agile, passionate, and fast-growing team. Responsibilities Include:
- Provide exceptional customer service. This includes engaging, educating, and attending to the donors throughout the donation process, highlighting the positive impact of the donation, and assisting the Management and Quality team.
- Identify donor reactions and monitor collection devices.
- Assist in determining the suitability of donors to undergo plasmapheresis prior to venipuncture.
- Own all activities on the donor floor including donor setup, disconnect, phlebotomy, documentation of procedures, donor reactions, and all calibrations.
- Effectively communicate donor medical information to the Physician Substitute.
- Uphold donor confidentiality.
- Maintain a clean workspace, including cleaning blood spills, maintaining equipment through calibration and proper documentation, and ensuring proper cleaning of equipment in all areas.

Qualifications
- Graduation from high school with a diploma or acquired an equivalent GED. Medical Assistant or Phlebotomy certificate is a plus.
- Two (2) years of experience in customer service and/or as a Phlebotomist. Related experience in the medical field is a plus.
- Physical: Able to stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, pull, and lift a minimum of 50 lbs. Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
