The University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics Department of Nursing is seeking to fill Phlebotomy Technician I positions to perform phlebotomy/specimen collection and a variety of laboratory tasks related to phlebotomy, labeling specimens, telephone inquiries, and distribution of phlebotomy supplies.
Duties to include:
* Performs phlebotomy draws
* Performs computer data entry and other clerical tasks as required
* Orders, receives, and distributes supplies
* Responds to basic phlebotomy inquiries and otherwise represents assigned and related work areas
Percent of Time: 100%
Schedule: Monday-Friday 0400-1230 rotating holidays

Minimum Eligibility Requirements:
* High school graduation or equivalent
Special Qualifications:
* Previous public contact/customer service experience
Desirable Qualifications:
* Completion of a phlebotomy training program or previous phlebotomy experience
* Minimum six (6) months previous experience working in a healthcare setting
* Basic computer skills
* Previous experience with Personal Protective Equipment
* Previous patient contact experience
