(Wisconsin)FTE: 0.575000Shift: Shift 2Work schedule: Weekend schedule- every Friday 5pm-11pm, Saturday and Sunday10am-7pmJob Summary:Responsible for triaging incoming calls to the Froedtert & Medical College of Wisconsin (F&MCW) After Hours Answering Service from patients, caregivers, or other health care providers. Triage RN assesses the patient's needs and provides appropriate clinical options through the guidance of the triage protocols which may include education regarding immediate care advice and preventative behavior. Patient calls to the After Hours Answering Service are documented using a telephone encounter in Epic, the electronic medical record.EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION:A minimum of five years of clinical experience in acute or ambulatory care is required. Seven or more years of clinical experience in acute or ambulatory care is preferred.EDUCATION DESCRIPTION:Professional knowledge of nursing theory and practice at a level normally acquired through completion of a minimum of two years education at an accredited School of Nursing in order to be eligible for licensure as a Registered Nurse is required.
