Camp PhotographerQualifications:
- Experience making short promotional slideshows
- Experience working in a camp environment is highly preferred
- Knowledge of Canon DSLRs and photo manipulation software
- Ability to work independently and flexibly
Role: The photographers at 6 Points must have a passion for photography and a desire to work in a fast-paced environment. Each day, they will be responsible for photographing sports majors and electives and special all-camp activities such as all aspects of Maccabiah (color war) and Shabbat. Your camera and experience using platforms such as Adobe Lightroom are preferred. Photographers will be required to upload pictures within the same day, so the ability to stay organized and priortize time is essential. Photographers must also be flexible as some things at camp can not be planned, yet we still want to capture them!Responsibilities:
- Capture daily photographs of campers in both scheduled activities and unstructured moments
- Upload daily photos of each camper to CampMinder
- Edit and produce weekly slideshows summarizing the 6 Points Sports Academy experience
- Edit and produce promotional photos for use during the 2023-2024 calendar year
- Performs duties in an efficient and independent manner with minimal supervision
- Demonstrates ability to prioritize and organize time; maintains physical environment in an effective, organized manner
- Attends staff meetings as scheduled
- Accepts additional duties as assigned by the Camp Directors
Summer 2025 Dates:
- Session 1: June 17- June 29
- Session 2: July 1- July 13th
- Session 3: July 15- July 27th
- Based on interest & availability, you can elect to work 1, 2, or all 3 sessions.
Travel:
- Travel is reimbursed up to $375 for flights or gas to get to and from camp
Room and Board:
- Dormitory housing is provided as well as all three meals in the campus dining hall
Salary:
- Pay starts at $2300 for the entire summer
Some information about 6 Points Sports Academy: 6 Points Sports Academy is located in beautiful Asheville, NC on the state-of-the-art athletic and camp facilities of Asheville School - which is widely regarded as the most beautiful boarding overnight camp facilities in the Southern part of the United States.We are so proud of our growth - we opened in 2010 with 60 campers, and now, every summer we welcomed over 850 campers to our facility to assist them in reaching their goals of becoming better athletes, Jews, and humans. At 6 Points, athletes from 35 different states and 7 different countries participate in a unique camping experience that offers top-level sports coaching and all the beloved traditions of overnight camping. Within our kind and nurturing community, campers form friendships for life while feeding their passion for their chosen sport - and achieve a higher quality of life as young Jewish athletes.6 Points campers are entering 4th - 11th grade girls and boys who are looking to improve their skill level, meet new friends and explore their own Jewish identity (coaches do not need to be Jewish to work at camp).
