This role is for a candidate who will perform hands-on work developing new test setups for and performing measurements in Silicon Photonics and Packaging area.Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Design of test setups and hands-on measurements on electronic and photonic componentsAnalyze measured data, extract key device parameters, and report conclusions to internal and external customers.Development of running software programs and scripts for measurements.Manage purchases and interact with vendors for resolving equipment issues and maintenance.Other reasonable duties as assigned.Requirements:Minimum Requirements for Photonics Test EngineerBS/MS in engineering or equivalent engineering and/or science discipline from a college or University accredited by the USDOE or internationally recognized accrediting organization and at least 7+ years of relevant industry experience with prior demonstrated experience in hands-on laboratory work in a test environment.Hands-on experience in design of test setups, passive, and electro-optic measurements on various electronic and photonic devices, analyzing measured data and extracting key device parameters (e.g. insertion loss), developing scripts or using existing programs to process large data, and developing scripts that interface with various instruments and provers for measurements.This position is contingent on the satisfactory completion of a background check; this position may require annual background checks.PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS for Photonics Test EngineerPh.D. in engineering or equivalent engineering and/or science discipline from a college or University accredited by the USDOE or internationally recognized accrediting organization and at least 2+ years of relevant industry experience.Experience developing electro-optic test setups in visible, NIR region.Experience with test and measurement using automated provers, and chip-level setups, working in a test environment in a foundry, interacting with customers, equipment vendors, and coordinating projects.Don't meet every requirement?
