Compensation Range:

$47,972.00 - $67,161.00

The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job's compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.

Responsibilities:

Provides religious ministry, spiritual care, and counseling to patients, families, and staff. Applies learned theory with personal and pastoral experience as they minister to patients, families and staff, using their own personal experience as a resource for ministry.

Responsibilities General Description The PM&R Chaplain will provide spiritual/religious care to patients, family and staff primarily on the Rehabilitation units but will also provide care in other areas of Strong Memorial Hospital as needed. The PM&R Chaplain will develop appropriate plans of care that include, but are not limited to, exploring the meaning of a situation, bereavement support, a supportive/listening presence, life review and facilitating spiritual/religious rituals. The PM&R Chaplain will attend and contribute to Interdisciplinary Care Rounds where appropriate and actively collaborate with team members. The PM&R Chaplain will be involved in educating staff and Chaplaincy Services staff about spiritual/religious care of rehabilitation patients. Specific Responsibilities - Offers spiritual support to patients, families and staff primarily on 512/612 and in other areas of the hospital as needed. - Documents spiritual assessment and interventions in the patient's medical record. - Communicates and collaborates effectively with members of the interdisciplinary team in relation to patient/family support. - Assists in orienting new CPE students. Other duties as assigned Qualifications - The person who occupies this position must have an MDiv from an accredited seminary or equivalent education as it relates to their religious/spiritual body and at least 4 units of ACPE/CPE required. - The person who occupies this position must have at least 2 years' experience offering spiritual support to patients and their families required. - The person must be able to be a source of spiritual support to patients and their families (e.g. partners and significant others), be comfortable in using technology in writing patient notes and complete ongoing hospital training, and have experience working in a team-based environment required. - Board Certification as a chaplain with APC, NACC or NAJC or Board Certification eligible (have completed four units of ACPE/CPE) required. Person will be given 2 years to become Board Certified from date of hire.
