Physical Rehabilitation Therapist - What You'll Do:

  • Provide physical therapy services to patients according to a written physician's plan of care
  • Advise, consult, and teach appropriate treatment procedures to clients and family members
  • Participate in the development of the plan of care
  • Prepare clinical and progress notes
  • Translate exercises into functional activities
  • Develop plans for modifying equipment and physical surroundings in clients' homes
  • Supervise physical therapy assistants and maintain accurate clinical records

Physical Rehabilitation Therapist Assistant - What You'll Do:

  • Provide direct physical therapy according to the physical therapist's directions and the physician's plan
  • Treat patients to relieve pain, restore function, and maintain performance
  • Administer therapeutic exercises and modalities, and instruct patients in improving functional activities
  • Report any changes in clients' condition to the supervising Physical Therapist

Qualifications:

  • Physical Rehabilitation Therapist
    • Graduate from a School of Physical Therapy approved by the American Physical Therapy Association or Allied Health Education
    • Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of practice
    • At least two (2) years' experience in an acute hospital or equivalent (preferred)
  • Physical Rehabilitation Therapist Assistant
    • Graduate of an accredited physical therapy assistant program
    • Current licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the state of practice
    • At least one (1) years' experience as a Physical Therapy Assistant (preferred)
  • Must possess current CPR and First Aid Certification
  • Must have reliable transportation, current driver's license, and appropriate automobile insurance
