Physical Rehabilitation Therapist - What You'll Do:
- Provide physical therapy services to patients according to a written physician's plan of care
- Advise, consult, and teach appropriate treatment procedures to clients and family members
- Participate in the development of the plan of care
- Prepare clinical and progress notes
- Translate exercises into functional activities
- Develop plans for modifying equipment and physical surroundings in clients' homes
- Supervise physical therapy assistants and maintain accurate clinical records
Physical Rehabilitation Therapist Assistant - What You'll Do:
- Provide direct physical therapy according to the physical therapist's directions and the physician's plan
- Treat patients to relieve pain, restore function, and maintain performance
- Administer therapeutic exercises and modalities, and instruct patients in improving functional activities
- Report any changes in clients' condition to the supervising Physical Therapist
Qualifications:
- Physical Rehabilitation Therapist
- Graduate from a School of Physical Therapy approved by the American Physical Therapy Association or Allied Health Education
- Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of practice
- At least two (2) years' experience in an acute hospital or equivalent (preferred)
- Physical Rehabilitation Therapist Assistant
- Graduate of an accredited physical therapy assistant program
- Current licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the state of practice
- At least one (1) years' experience as a Physical Therapy Assistant (preferred)
- Must possess current CPR and First Aid Certification
- Must have reliable transportation, current driver's license, and appropriate automobile insurance
