Essential Functions:
- Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities, risk, and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with leadership to align security strategies with overall business goals.
- Oversee the installation, maintenance, and monitoring of security systems, including access control, surveillance cameras, and alarm systems.
- Ensure the security of the premises, including perimeter protection, building entry points, and secure areas.
- Manage security personnel, including hiring, training, and performance.
- Develop and implement emergency response plans for various scenarios, including fire, theft, and workplace violence.
- Lead investigations into security breaches, incidents, and accidents, and provide detailed reports.
- Coordinate with law enforcement and emergency services as necessary.
- Conduct regular training sessions for employees on security awareness, emergency procedures, and best practices.
- Foster a culture of security awareness and vigilance throughout the organization.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal security regulations and industry standards.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to security operations, incidents, and audits.
- Prepare and present regular security reports to senior management.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, relevant certifications such as: Certified Protection Professional (CPP), Physical Security Professional (PSP) are a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in physical security management, preferably in a corporate manufacturing and packing environment.
- Strong knowledge of security systems, technology, and best practices.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle high-pressure situations and make sound decisions in emergencies.
- Proficient in using security management software and tools as well as Microsoft Office.
- Clean driving record and valid driver's license
