Terms of Employment

  • W2 Contract, 12 Months (Possible Extension)
  • This position is 100% onsite in Washington D.C. or Philadelphia, PA.
  • Candidates must be local to Washington D.C. or Philadelphia, PA.
  • This is a full-time position with 10 hours of overtime per week.

Overview

Our client is seeking a Security Specialist to manage and coordinate safety programs and initiatives under the direction of senior safety specialists or safety managers and may also provide guidance to junior team members. The Security Specialist will provide physical security and safe driving services for senior Executives.

Responsibilities may include:

  • Developing, implementing, and managing safety programs, policies, and procedures.
  • Conducting safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Providing safety training and education to employees on topics such as hazard recognition, emergency response, and personal protective equipment.
  • Investigating accidents, incidents, and near misses to determine root causes and prevent recurrence.
  • Maintaining safety records and documentation, including accident reports, inspection records, and training records.
  • Assisting in the procurement and maintenance of safety equipment and supplies.
  • Participating in safety committee meetings and activities.
  • Keeping abreast of safety regulations and best practices in the field.
  • Providing support and guidance to employees and supervisors on safety-related issues.
  • Contributing to the continuous improvement of the safety program.

Required Skills & Experience

  • High school diploma and 3+ years of experience in law enforcement or private security.
  • Flexibility in scheduling.
  • Responsive to last minute changes in schedule and assignment.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to drive and maintain a large SUV.
  • IL drivers' license in good standing.
  • Possess basic computer skills.

Preferred Skills & Experience

  • Experience performing executive transportation and security services.
  • Former PD or military experience.
