St. Croix Health is seeking a full-time Physical Therapist to join our compassionate team of professionals. Successful candidates must share our vision and be committed to providing services that help our patients enjoy a higher quality of life. This position would float between our Frederic and Webster Clinics.
Job Summary:
This position is responsible for the evaluation and treatment of patients of all ages presenting with a broad range of impairments and functional limitations. The physical therapist is responsible for delivering evidence-informed treatments and objectively measuring the outcomes of treatment. This position provides quality patient care, assisting with in-servicing rehab staff, other medical center departments, and the community on wellness and rehabilitation topics.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Evaluate and provide physical therapy treatment to child, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients based on evidence-informed best practice patterns in physical therapy. This includes performing appropriate documentation responsibilities.
* Stay current on physical therapy related practices, wellness and rehabilitation topics
* Deliver quality patient care
* Complete required charting & documentation responsibilities in a timely manner
* Maintain and foster relationships with referral sources and patients.
2. Direct, supervise, assess and communicate with Physical Therapist Assistants.
* Oversee work performed by Physical Therapist Assistants as outlined in the state statute
* Partner with Physical Therapy Assistants to ensure completeness of PT plan of care (POC)
* Review charting activities and provide feedback
3. Other duties as assigned.
* Participate in inter-departmental, committee-based, and community educational outreach on topics related to wellness, sports performance, and physical rehabilitation
* Assist Manager of Rehab Services with program development in specific areas of practice
Requirements
Education and Licensure:
* Graduate of approved physical therapy school
* Licensed by the State of Wisconsin and/or Minnesota
* Current CPR/AED certification
* Specialist Board Certification preferred
Experience:
* 2 plus years experience preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
* Excellent communication and listening skills
* Solid judgement and decision making capabilities
* Strong time management skills
* Excellent critical thinking and problem solving abilities
* Demonstrated ability to work independently with little direction and manage multiple demands and priorities
Physical Requirements:
* Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
* Prolonged periods of standing, bending, and reaching
* Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at time
