This collaborative team approach along with working one on one with patients has been a formula for success and patient satisfaction at OrthoIllinois.Job Purpose:The Physical Therapist Assistant is responsible for assisting the Physical Therapist with treating patients with injuries, pathologies, or post-operative physical therapy interventions within a plan of care established by the Physical Therapist.Primary Duties and Responsibilities:Provides physical therapy services and interventions within the scope of practice of the PTA and per the IL PTA Practice Act. Rehabilitation staff must be able to watch/observe all patient exercise/movement in order to be able to prevent impro.er performance and maintain safety.Good vision will also assist in recognizing patients' non-verbal pain responses. Hearing (e.g., high pitch sounds, soft or distant sounds).
