Job Title: Physical Therapist Assistant

Job Type: Full-time (Mon-Fri; 40 hours per week. Will discuss schedule during interview.)

Job Location Chester Mall Center, 78 Brookside Avenue, Suite 144 Chester, New York (outpatient clinic)

Qualifications:

Experience and Skills Required for Physical Therapist Assistant Position:

  • Associates Degree or equivalent from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program required
  • Unrestricted Physical Therapist Assistant Licensure to practice required.

Salary Description: $28.00 - $31.00hrly (commensurate with experience)

Responsibilities:

Essential Functions of the Physical Therapist Assistant Role:

  • Assist in evaluation of clients daily living skills and capacities to determine extent of abilities and limitations
  • Assist patients with all phases of physical therapy treatment and techniques including exercise Instruction, manual therapy techniques, activities of daily living, and Isokinetic program
  • Observe patients during treatments and reports observations to Physical Therapist
  • Communicate with staff and other health team members, to exchange, discuss, and evaluate patient information for planning, modifying, and coordinating treatment programs
