Job DescriptionPhysical Therapist Assistant (PTA) Job SummaryAssist in patient care under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, following state practice laws and prescribed treatment programs.Key ResponsibilitiesFollow state regulations governing PTA practice and adhere to clinical policies.Assist in executing treatment plans directed by the Physical Therapist.Maintain clear documentation of patient care, using medical terminology accurately.Ensure treatment areas and equipment meet OSHA standards.Communicate patient progress effectively with the care team.Complete Medicare and OSHA compliance training annually.Participate in staff meetings and continuing education to meet licensure requirements.Maintain current CPR certification.Skills & Physical RequirementsTeamwork, time management, and organizational skills.Ability to lift 50 pounds and perform physical tasks throughout shifts.Clear communication and comprehension skills for working with patients and staff.Fine motor skills for managing equipment and patient scheduling.QualificationsGraduate of a CAPTE-accredited PTA program or equivalent.Current state license, registration, or certification as a PTA.
