DescriptionPosition Overview:We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our rehabilitation team. The PTA will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to provide high-quality therapy services to patients, assisting them in achieving their rehabilitation goals and improving their functional abilities.
Key Responsibilities:- Implement treatment plans developed by the Physical Therapist, focusing on improving patients' mobility, strength, and overall function.
- Assist patients with therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and the use of assistive devices.
- Monitor and document patients' progress, adjusting treatments as necessary to ensure effective outcomes.
- Educate patients and their families on exercises and activities to promote continued recovery and health.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care for each patient.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment by adhering to infection control policies and procedures.
- Participate in team meetings, continuing education, and professional development activities.
Qualifications:- Associate's degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
- Current licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant in the state of California.
- CPR certification required.
- Previous experience in a skilled nursing facility or similar setting preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
