Position: Physical Therapist Assistant - Outpatient

Compensation: $27.00-$34.00/hour (commensurate with experience
We are seeking a PRN physical therapist assistant (licensed PTA) to help on an as needed basis. While our clinics typically operate Monday through Friday, our flexible scheduling lets you craft a schedule that's suited to your unique lifestyle! We are seeking a per diem physical therapist assistant to help at our Staunton outpatient orthopedic clinic.

Responsibilities
* Responsible for patient care under the direction and supervision of a licensed physical therapist as mandated by State Practice Act.
* Possesses training and education which allows him/her to assist the Physical Therapist in carrying out prescribed treatment program.
* Implements, with minimal supervision, high quality physical therapy services for patients, caregivers and facilities in accordance with the principals and practices of physical therapy and with Select Medical policies and procedures.
* Develops treatment plans, supervises assistants and aides, contributes to case management, and provides quality patient care.
* Maintains positive level of interaction with facilities and clients. Enhances and expands client relations with facilities and their staff.
Qualifications
* A valid state license as a Physical Therapist Assistant upon graduation from an approved curriculum for Physical Therapist Assistants, and having passed a national examination for Physical Therapist Assistants certified by the CAPTE
* VA State PTA license required
* Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
