Physical Therapist Assistant Program DirectorJob Title Physical Therapist Assistant Program DirectorDepartment Allied Health Sciences Posting Number req541 Description of Job Duties Job Summary:The SWOSU-Weatherford Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) program director is an active member of Allied Health Sciences and reports directly to the department chair. The PTA Program Director will create and administer the SWOSU-Weatherford PTA program under the guidance of the standards set forth by Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE). The PTA program director is responsible for the maintenance of student records, compilation of reports for the program, oversight of all programmatic aspects for the PTA program.Description of Job Duties:
- Director will maintain and complete all self-study paperwork and accreditation forms for the Commission on Accreditation of Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE).
- Teach courses for the Physical Therapist Assistant program and/or Allied Health Sciences.
- Order supplies needed for instruction.
- Oversee program curriculum and assessment.
- Maintain student records.
- Participate in student recruitment, program admission, and graduation activities.
- Serve on college and university committees.
- All other tasks as assigned by the department chair of Allied Health Sciences.

Applicant must hold an active, unrestricted license/certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant or Physical Therapist. Minimum of five years post licensure experience that includes at least three years of full-time clinical experience. Experience in classroom, lab or clinical teaching is required. Experience in academic or clinical administration, management, and leadership required.
