What Are We Looking For?Progressive Physical Therapy is currently looking for a physical therapist (PT) to join our team. The PT obtains patient's medical history; administers treatment pursuant to the physical referral; completes all appropriate documentation in the patient's medical records; instructs patient and family members in necessary patient care, assists in the total rehabilitation of the patient; and assists in the training of support personnel and in the presentation of in-service programs.Do You Have What It Takes?A good candidate will bring with them:
  • Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy
  • Current state license in South Carolina
  • Current CPR certificate
  • Effective personal and interpersonal communications skills. Able to document patient care in patient medical records, operate equipment and dispense patient care supplies.
  • Ability to use evidence-based practice guideline to treat orthopedic and neurological diagnoses/injuries.
  • Ability to develop treatment plans, provide quality patient care, and supervise assistants.
  • Ability to demonstrate competence in physical therapy evaluation, assessment, care planning and treatment.
  • Ability to improve and expand client relations with other medical facilities and staff.
An ideal candidate would also have:
  • 2 years' experience in an outpatient setting
  • Graduate of a Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE) accredited school of Physical Therapy
  • Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy.
