A health services network in New York City is currently seeking a seeking a licensed Physical Therapist (PT) to join their growing teams in Manhattan and Queens. About the Opportunity:
- Assignment Length: 2 months
- Schedule: Part-time (20 hours per week)
- Patient Population: Adult & Pediatric I/DD (Ages 4+)
- EMR: NextGen
Responsibilities:The Physical Therapist (PT) will:
- Evaluate the strength, flexibility, balance, coordination, and posture of patients
- Treat patients with disabilities, disorders, and injuries related to the evaluation findings
- Utilize therapeutic devices and equipment to maintain or restore maximum performance
- Plan, direct, and supervise patients, family, and/or significant others in the use of equipment and exercise regimens
- Participate in patient communication and interdisciplinary care planning for individual needs
- Document contemporaneously using electronic health records
- Perform other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree
- NYS Physical Therapist (PT) license
- Solid assessment and documentation skills
Desired Skills:
- Working knowledge of NextGen
