POSITION SUMMARY: The Physical Therapist performs a comprehensive evaluation on each patient and designs individual programs of treatment. The goal is to guide patients suffering from injury or disease towards full restoration of function, improve mobility, relieve pain, and prevent or limit permanent physical disabilities. In addition, they promote patients' overall fitness and health. Physical therapists work with health-care teams. Practicing within the scope of New York State Law. Works within multidisciplinary treatment teams. Supervises PT Assistants and techs. EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a degree in Physical Therapy. Maintains license/registration under New York State requirements.
