The Department of Corrections Health Services Division is seeking a highly motivated and qualified professional to take on the dynamic role of Physical Therapist 2 for the Washington State Penitentiary {rel= nofollow } (WSP) located in Walla Walla, Washington {rel= nofollow }.Under the supervision of the Facility Medical Director, this position contributes to the agency's mission to improve public safety by delivering quality health care to the incarcerated patient population in a timely and professional manner, promote a healthy lifestyle and provide patient heath care education.This position performs physical therapy and restorative care services, including initial assessments, planning, and administration of treatment modalities for patients with injuries, illnesses and other debilitating conditions as prescribed by a prescribing provider. The licensed therapist may coordinate/instruct/assign/oversee Certified Nurse Assistants (CNAs) to assist with ADL exercises for patients requiring restorative care.
