Are you a dedicated Physical Therapist seeking an opportunity to make a difference? The Advocacy & Resource Center is seeking a Part-Time, licensed Physical Therapist registered with the New York State Board of Licensure, with a passion for providing care to individuals with disabilities.Duties & Responsibilities:
- Conduct formal physical therapy assessments.Develop and oversee implementation of Physical Therapy programs.Promptly respond to special reviews and injury investigations.
- Work within an Article 16 Clinic , following OPWDD guidelines.
- Participate in team meetings and ensure accurate documentation of treatment.Implement and revise programs as needed for optimal patient outcomes.
- Evaluate participants for wheelchairs and coordinate equipment repairs.Obtain prescriptions and write justification letters for durable medical equipment repairs.
- Establish and maintain relationships with vendors and community agencies.
Requirements:New York State Board of Licensure registration as a Physical Therapist.Minimum one year of experience in physical therapy, preferably with individuals with disabilities.
