The Physical Therapist assesses plans, organizes, and participates in rehabilitative programs that improve mobility, relieve pain, increase strength, and decrease or prevent deformity of patients suffering from disease or injury. Through the use of physical and functional assessments, level of dysfunction is identified; plan of care is determined and documented. Implements care plan through the use of evidence based modalities and skilled interventions to increase patients ability to achieve mutually established functional goals. The physical therapist educates the patient/caregivers in treatment and care to engage patient in being an active participant in continuing activities at home. Monitors and evaluates outcomes related to the assessment and plan of care.
The person in this position works under general supervision, is responsible for various shifts(including weekends as applicable), may be subject to over 40 hours per week and/or callback as required, and may also be required to remain on campus immediately before, during, and after severe weather and/or disasters.
