We are seeking a full-time Physical Therapist to join our growing Community Care Physical Therapy Practice located in Latham! The hours are Monday Wednesday 10am-7pm Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 7am to 4 pm. NO WEEKENDS! Recent graduates are welcome to apply!The Physical Therapist plays a vital role in restoring patients' function, alleviating pain, and preventing disabilities by administering medically prescribed physical therapy. This role provides high-quality care by assessing evaluations and test results, collaborating with physicians to determine treatment plans, and guiding patients through manual exercises and therapeutic techniques. Additionally, this position continuously evaluates patient progress, adapts treatment plans as needed, and educates patients and their families regarding recovery processes and potential challenges. Responsibilities include documenting patient care services, evaluating and adjusting prosthetic and orthotic devices, and instructing patients in appropriate in-home exercises and therapies.Essential Functions include but are not limited to:
- Restores patient's function, alleviates pain, and prevents disabilities by planning and administering medically prescribed physical therapy.
- Provides quality care by assessing and interpreting evaluations and test results.
- Determines physical therapy treatment plans in consultation with physicians or by prescription.
- Helps patients accomplish their treatment plan by administering manual exercises, giving massages, and using the necessary equipment.
- Evaluate and record patient progress, modify treatment plans, and try new treatments if required.
- Evaluate the use and fit of prosthetic and orthotic devices by observing, noting, and observing patient's progress and recommending adjustments and modifications.
- Documents patient care services by charting in patient and department records.
- Instruct patients in proper in-home exercises and therapies.
- Educates patients and their families about the recovery process and their associated challenges.
- Takes a student as needed.
- Travels to other sites as coverage if required.

- A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited university program is required.
- Current and valid state licensure as a Physical Therapist.
- 1-3 years of relevant clinical experience in physical therapy is strongly preferred.
