About Us

At the Bronx Early Learning Center, we believe in movement as a path to empowerment. Our vibrant, nurturing preschool for children with special needs is part of the Volunteers of America network, an organization committed to creating opportunities and fostering resilience in the communities we serve.

Our newly renovated, child-focused facility provides a welcoming and well-equipped environment, tailored to support both the educators and therapists who work here and the children who benefit from their expertise. Here, we go beyond therapy to create lasting impact, ensuring each child gains the confidence and physical independence they need to thrive.

Your Role

As a Physical Therapist, you will play a critical role in helping children achieve milestones that empower them to explore their world. Working collaboratively with a team of educators and therapists, you will create individualized treatment plans that address each child's unique needs, fostering growth and independence in a supportive, innovative environment.

What You'll Do

  • Implement Tailored Therapy Plans: Develop and carry out intervention plans that inspire progress, directly or in collaboration with other team members.
  • Monitor and Document Growth: Maintain accurate records of therapy sessions and progress, meeting both organizational and third-party payer requirements.
  • Lead and Mentor: Supervise Physical Therapy Assistants, students, and other support staff, fostering a culture of learning and excellence.
  • Ensure Professional Standards: Uphold the Physical Therapy Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice while adhering to organizational policies and procedures.
  • Maintain Therapy Spaces: Ensure that treatment areas and equipment remain organized and functional to support effective interventions.
  • Commit to Growth: Engage in professional development activities to stay at the forefront of pediatric physical therapy innovations and maintain licensure.

What You Bring

  • Master's Degree in Physical Therapy
  • New York State License, meeting all requirements mandated by the Federation of State Boards in Physical Therapy
  • Experience or training in pediatric physical therapy
  • A passion for empowering children through movement and fostering independence

Why Join Us?
