Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science/Master's of Science degree in physical therapy, DPT, from an APTA accredited college or university.
- Current licensure by the Board of Allied Health Professionals, Commonwealth of Massachusetts or application for the same.
- APTA in Massachusetts and/or New Hampshire chapter of APTA membership preferred.
- Certification in BLS of Adult, Child and Infant.
- Demonstrated pursuit on continuing education courses relative to the field of physical therapy.
- Knowledge, experience, and competency in dealing with adult rehabilitation and geriatric age group.
- Knowledge of growth and development across the life span.

Essential Function:
Patient Assessment&Treatment:Develops and implements treatment plans per patient diagnosis, following the Physical Therapy Code of Ethics.Documentation:Completes evaluations, progress notes, discharge summaries, and justifications for medical equipment in a timely manner.Delegation:Assigns tasks to certified physical therapy assistants and support staff as appropriate.Caseload Management:Organizes and manages a full caseload efficiently.Team Collaboration:Participates in and reports at team conferences with staff, patients, and families.Education&Training:Seeks opportunities for staff, patient, and family education through courses, seminars, and current literature review.General Performance Standards:
- Adheres to hospital policies, maintains safety and health standards, and treats patients, families, and staff with respect and compassion.
- Demonstrates reliability, teamwork, and professionalism, including punctuality, appropriate dress, and responsible communication.
- Sets self-improvement goals, maintains workplace cleanliness, and upholds a positive community image.
Non-Essential Function:
- Supervision&Safety:Supervises students, ensures equipment safety, and maintains performance improvement standards.
- Program Development:Participates in activities related to departmental development, public relations, and community programs, and works with ancillary services to optimize patient care.
