A Skilled Nursing Facility in Peekskill is currently seeking a Physical Therapist to join their growing Rehab DepartmentAbout the Opportunity:
- Start Date: ASAP
- Schedule: Monday - Friday
- Hours: 9am - 5:45pm
- EMR: PointClickCare
- Patient Population: Long Term Residents
- Patient Volume: 10
Responsibilities:The PT will:
- Directly supervises Physical Therapists Assistants, Rehabilitation Technicians / Aides, Physical Therapy and/or Physical Therapy Assistant student interns and other Physical Therapists (as needed) per state practice act.
- Recommend modifications and changes in the resident's therapy treatment as indicated.
- Ensure that all therapist notes are informative and descriptive of the care provided and of the resident's response to the care.
- Make rounds with attending physician/medical director, etc., as necessary.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree, Masters Degree or Doctorate in Physical Therapy.
- Current state licensure in the state of hire. Physical Therapists with temporary license and pending examination schedule are eligible if required Physical Therapist supervision can be accommodated
- Ability to function effectively in multi-faceted systems and to interact effectively with all levels of staff and customers.
Desired Skills:
- Experience within Skilled Nursing, Assisted Living, or Long Term Care.
