Our team combines compassion and respect with cutting-edge therapy and rehabilitation treatments for patients of all ages - from pediatrics to geriatrics.STATUS: Per DiemLOCATION: Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation at RidgewayDEPARTMENT: Physical TherapySCHEDULE: Monday-Thursday (7AM-6PM) and Friday (7AM-4PM)ATTRIBUTESMaster's Degree in Physical Therapy or Bachelor's degree with prior experience as a licensed Physical Therapist required.Current New York State license or a limited permit as a Registered Physical TherapistPrior Physical Therapist experience preferredRESPONSIBILITIESTreatment & Planning. Meet patient goals and needs by providing quality, evidence-based care; assess, develop and implement an individualized treatment plan; help the patient accomplish treatment plan and accept therapeutic devices by administering manual exercises; instruct, encourage and assist patients in performing physical activitiesDischarge Management. Assure continuation of therapeutic plan following discharge by designing home exercise programs; instruct patients, families and caregivers in home exercise programs; recommend and provide assistive equipment; recommend outpatient or home health follow-up programsEDUCATION:LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS: PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting.For disease specific care programs refer to the program specific requirements of the department for further specifications on experience and educational expectations, including continuing education requirements. It may be modified in the future and eligible for additional pay components.
