The Physical Therapist will:
- Use the physical therapy process in the delivery of patient care in an in-patient or out-patient setting, adhering to departmental policies and procedures.
- Use communications skills to facilitate exchange of ideas for quality patient care with patient/family, supportive Medical Staff, and community.
- Act in accordance with the Standards of Conduct and Ethical Practice of APTA, the Vermont Practice Act, and hospital/department policies to maintain high standards of professional behavior.
- Maintain competency by participating in professional growth and development and internal/external educational activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited Physical Therapy program
- Master's degree from an accredited Physical Therapy program. (preferred)
- Previous healthcare experience (preferred)
- Current Physical Therapist license in Vermont in good standing.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Physical Therapy evaluation, reassessment and treatment techniques.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong critical thinking skills
- Experience with electronic medical record systems.
