Purpose: As a Staff Physical Therapist, you will play a crucial role in enhancing patient well-being by performing initial assessments, developing personalized treatment plans, and administering effective physical therapy treatments. Your goal will be to improve overall functioning, reduce discomfort, and help patients achieve their therapeutic goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Care: Conduct thorough assessments, develop and adjust treatment plans, and provide hands-on therapy to patients.
- Collaboration: Communicate effectively with referring physicians and healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Education: Serve as a clinical instructor for physical therapy students, residents, and fellows, fostering the next generation of therapists.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed records of all treatments, assessments, and patient progress.
- Professional Development: Stay current with licensure requirements through ongoing education and professional development opportunities.
- Team Participation: Actively engage in staff meetings and in-service education programs to stay informed and connected.

Educational Requirements:
- Graduate of an Accredited Program: Must have graduated from a physical therapy program accredited by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA).

- Medication Storage: May be in rooms where medications are stored, but no contact with medications is allowed.
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
- Active License: Must have an active physical therapy license in the practicing state.
- CPR Certification: Must have CPR certification based on American Heart Association (AHA) standards, including both a didactic and skills demonstration component, within 30 days of hire.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR): Must have certification in either BLS or CPR.
- Physical Therapist (PT): Must be a licensed Physical Therapist.
