Job Summary and QualificationsThe Rehab Therapy Aide will assist the PT, PTA, OT, or COTA in providing medically prescribed therapy programs in the hospital in accordance with national standards and administrative policies of the hospital. The goal is to restore function and prevent disability following disease, injury, surgery, or loss of a body part in order to allow the patient to perform to his/her maximum ability.
What you will do in this role:
You will clean all equipment per policy.
You will stock supplies and ensure areas are clean.
You will prepare patient for mobilization treatment on the floors in order to assist the therapist.
You will assist in age specific treatment as directed by the therapist.
What qualifications you may need:
High School Graduate/Equivalent is required
1+ year(s) of experience in a hospital or clinical environment is preferred
A current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider is required
