Summary of Position:#Evaluates patient treatment needs, plans treatment programs, and performs and/or supervises treatment.# # Primary Job Responsibilities:# Reports responses orally or in writing to the responsible therapist and assists and collaborates with the responsible therapist in order to identify resident#s response to treatment and prioritize problem areas to be addressed during therapy. Prepares written reports and daily charges according to established RTC guidelines and to facilitate payment for services. Performs treatments according to the established plan, utilizing appropriate procedures, treatment equipment, assistive devices, orthoses, and techniques within the scope of practice and according to the policies and procedures of the Regional Therapy Center. Establishes and maintains an appropriate therapeutic rapport with patients.# Educates the patient/resident and/or caregivers about established goals and methods of treatment. Collaborates with other members of the interdisciplinary care team to coordinate therapeutic programs and discharge. Participates in the quality assurance and continuous quality improvement program as assigned.## Assists patient through-put by maintaining clinic appearance and readiness, assisting others, and ensuring availability of clinical supplies and forms.# Demonstrates a personal routine for job performance which facilitates increased productivity, as evidenced by three units billed per hour worked. Minimum Qualifications:#Licensed (or eligible) to practice in New York State as an occupational therapy assistant or physical therapist assistant.# Hospital based experience preferred.#NYS PTA certification required, experience preferred. Salary Range: $21.55 - $35.38 Pay Grade: TA1 Compensation may vary based upon, but not limited to: overall experience and qualifications, shift, and location.
