South Shore Care Center strives to respond to the rights, needs, and concerns of its residents, families, and staff by creating a caring environment in which each person is respected for his or her individuality and treated with kindness, dignity, and respect.South Shore Care Center is looking to hire an In-House Full Time or Part Time Physical Therapist Assistant to provide rehabilitation services to our residents!Primary Job Responsibilities:Maintain the standards for rehabilitation services in accordance with the Company's Mission and GoalsBe courteous to all patients and respectful of them, their environment, and their cultureProvide quality therapy services at every patient contact, including treatment interventions, program implementation, discharge planning, and related documentation and communication under the direction and supervision of the physical therapistPrioritize and maintain a work schedule that is appropriate for the facility and in accordance with your employmentAssist Therapy management staff in maintaining a positive, productive, and beneficial working relationship with all Facility staffAdhere to the policies and procedures necessary for the day-to-day operations of the rehab departmentScreen patients to determine the need for evaluation under the supervision of the PTTreat patients to relieve pain and develop or restore function to achieve maximum performance under the supervision of a physical therapistMonitor patient response to intervention, communicate any changes, and follow through with all updates to the treatment modalities, goals, and frequency as needed under the direction and supervision of the physical therapistFulfills documentation requirements in a complete, appropriate, and timely mannerCommunicate and collaborate with other team members regarding the care of clients receiving therapy servicesAssist with data collection on patients' progress under the supervising PTPlan for patient's discharge when maximum benefits have been met in coordination with the supervising PTProvide complete and correct billing summaries as requiredAttend in-service education when provided to rehab staffMaintain a neat and well-organized therapy departmentPerform administrative duties to assist in the provision of therapy servicesIdentify all new rehab admissions and notify the physical therapist when appropriateCommunicate upcoming patient discharges with Facility staff as requiredAttend appropriate care plan meetings when requestedProvide other job-related tasks and duties as assignedRequirements:Associate's degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant programState licensure or certification as a Physical Therapy Assistant.Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with residents, families, and the healthcare team.Compassion, patience, and empathy when working with individuals in long-term care.Ability to assess and adapt treatment plans based on patient progress and changing needs.Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and therapeutic exercise principles.Familiarity with electronic medical record systems and documentation practices.NEW GRADS ARE WELCOME!Physical Requirements:Ability to lift and move patients, as needed, with proper body mechanics and assistive devices.Stamina and physical endurance to stand, walk, and engage in therapeutic activities for extended periods.Benefits we offer:Affordable health and dental insuranceFree life insuranceExtra pay for holidaySign on BonusCareer Growth OpportunitiesSign-on Bonus of $7500 over 18 monthsWe are looking forward to hearing from you!
